Recently, Huahong Water Group held a training session to promote and implement the group standard "Technical Specifications for Identifying Safety Hazards in Urban Wastewater Treatment Facilities," aiming to enhance the company's safety management practices at wastewater treatment plants and ensure the stable operation of its wastewater projects.
The training was delivered by Hu Yuankuo, one of the drafters of the group standard and Executive Dean of the Technical Research Institute at Huahong Water Group. Over 200 participants, including technical experts and personnel from safety production-related roles, joined both online and offline.

During this training, the core principles of the group standard were systematically explained, and tailored to the specific characteristics of the wastewater treatment plants under Huahong Water Group. The session focused on analyzing risk identification methods for critical areas such as wastewater treatment facilities, pipeline pump stations, and sludge management processes. Attendees also engaged in an in-depth discussion of practical approaches to identifying safety hazards, using real-world accident case studies as examples. Participants further explored safety measures related to process control and equipment maintenance.
The training emphasized that the release of this group standard provides a scientific guideline for safe operations at wastewater treatment plants. Huahong Water Group, as one of the participating organizations in drafting this standard, urges all its affiliated plants to strictly adhere to the specified requirements. In particular, facilities should strengthen preventive measures in high-risk areas, conduct self-inspections and corrective actions, and establish long-term management mechanisms. The Group will also set up dedicated inspection teams to visit project sites, offering guidance on identifying potential hazards and ensuring the comprehensive implementation of safety protocols.
