At 3:00 p.m. on January 22, the China Environmental Protection Industry Association (CEPIA) held a New Year video gathering, bringing together numerous leaders from the environmental protection sector. The event aimed to jointly advance the high-quality development of the environmental protection industry, look ahead to future prospects, and celebrate the Spring Festival. The meeting was chaired by Guo Chengzhan, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CEPIA. HuaHong Water Group attended as an executive council member of CEPIA. Lin Jinhua, Executive Council Member of CEPIA, Vice President of the Guangxi Environmental Protection Industry Association, President of the Nanning–Fuzhou Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of HuaHong Water Group, along with the Chairman’s Senior Advisor, representatives from the Technology Research Institute, and the Group Office, also participated in the gathering.
At the meeting, Guo Chengzhan extended sincere New Year greetings to all attendees and conveyed the spirit of the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection. He emphasized that this year marks the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and that high-quality ecological conditions must underpin high-quality development. He called for a strong sense of the bigger picture, focusing on the “four new economies”—new technologies, new industries, new models, and new business forms—to enhance quality and efficiency and leverage technology to chart new directions. In pursuit of the dual carbon goals, he urged continuous transformation by integrating multiple sectors—including energy and emerging materials—and harnessing digital and smart innovations to elevate the level of digitalization in the eco‑environmental protection industry. Finally, he stressed the importance of deepening cooperation with renowned domestic and international research institutions and universities.
Lin Jinhua, speaking as a standing council member and corporate representative, noted that despite a 2024 marked by challenges and relentless effort, Huahong Water Group remains fully confident as it looks ahead to the new year. He expressed his hope that leading enterprises in the sector will deepen collaboration, join forces, and leverage their respective strengths to drive higher‑quality development among private firms. By jointly undertaking research projects and collaboratively tackling key technological bottlenecks, they can accelerate the translation and application of scientific and technological advances, ensuring that green sustainability becomes the defining hallmark of the new era. He then extended his warmest New Year greetings to all attendees and conveyed his gratitude to the China Environmental Protection Federation for its longstanding support of Huahong Water Group.
