Pan-Pearl River Environmental Hydrocyclone Sand Remover, Sand-Water Separation Unit, Sand Suction Equipment, and Automatic Sand-Removal System for Settling Basins
The vortex grit chamber primarily uses the rotation of a mechanical impeller to control the flow velocity and pattern of incoming water, causing sand particles to accelerate and settle in a spiral motion along the chamber walls due to centrifugal force and gravity. Meanwhile, organic matter is carried away by the flowing water and settles at the bottom of the chamber. The accumulated sand is then removed—either through air lifting or pump-driven discharge—and sent to a sand-water separator, where it’s separated from remaining wastewater before being discharged. The cleaned water is returned to the screen well, effectively achieving the goal of grit removal. The vortex grit removal system comprises components such as the vortex grit chamber, sand-water separator, and either a blower or suction pump.
