XLC-type vortex grit remover

The vortex grit chamber primarily relies on the rotation of a mechanical impeller to control the flow velocity and regime of the incoming water, causing sand to settle along the tank wall in a helical path under the combined action of centrifugal force and gravity. Meanwhile, organic matter is carried away by the flow and settles at the bottom of the tank. The sand collected at the tank bottom is lifted by air or a pump, then sent to a sand–water separator for separation before being discharged; the wash water is returned to the bar screen well, thereby achieving the purpose of grit removal. The vortex grit‑removal system comprises a vortex grit chamber, a sand–water separator, a blower, and a sand‑suction pump, among other components.
