Leaders of the Wuxiang New Area (Nanning Area of the Free Trade Pilot Zone) led a delegation to the Huahong Mingyang Reclaimed Water Plant to conduct a special inspection on ecological and environmental protection.

On the afternoon of May 7, He Shanghan, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Wuxiang New Area (Nanning Area of the Free Trade Pilot Zone), led a team to the Huahong Mingyang Reclaimed Water Plant to conduct a special inspection on ecological and environmental protection, with a particular focus on overseeing efforts to combat pollution and the implementation of corrective measures following the central environmental inspection. Officials from the Jiangnan District Government of Nanning, the Nanning Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, the Ecological Environment Bureau of the Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone, and other relevant departments, along with representatives from the enterprise, participated in the visit.
The research team first conducted an on-site inspection of the section of Mingyang Fourth Road where misconnections had been rectified, gaining an understanding of the progress in the pipeline network renovation. They then proceeded to the Huahong Mingyang Reclaimed Water Plant, where Lin Taicheng, President and General Manager of Huahong Water Services Group, along with his team, extended a warm welcome. At the Huahong Water Services’ Water Ecological Environment Science Education Base, Lin Taicheng outlined the company’s applications of environmental protection technologies and presented several representative case studies. Following this, the delegation entered the plant premises to verify the operational status of the wastewater treatment facilities and listened on-site to a special briefing on the progress of the plant’s upgrade and retrofit project, as well as the operational challenges encountered.
At the conclusion of the field investigation, He Shanghan emphasized the following: Strictly implement the requirements of the central environmental inspection and rectification; accelerate the upgrading and expansion of wastewater treatment plants to ensure that effluent quality consistently meets standards; conduct meticulous inspections and remediation of the sewer network to eliminate the risk of sewage overflows, thereby demonstrating high‑quality results in the rectification process and passing the environmental inspection; and strengthen interdepartmental coordination to establish a robust, long‑term regulatory mechanism, thus building a solid ecological safeguard for the green, high‑quality development of Jiangnan District.
This field survey has further reinforced the principal responsibility for pollution prevention and control, and has provided a clear roadmap for the Mingyang Reclaimed Water Plant to enhance environmental management and win the tough battle of ecological protection.
